The View

Ok, so I know I am a little more conservative than some people, especially a lot of my friends, and that is fine. I respect everyone's opinions, even when they are opposite mine. What I dont appreciate is people ganging up on me with their opinions. I watched a recent episode of the view where the ladies were talking about the Presidential candidates. Of course, Elizabeth Hasselbeck was the only one getting crapped on for her conservative views. The show is called "The View", and I think it is titled appropriately because there really is only one view allowed on that show, and that is of the liberal mind. I just think that if you want to have a more political talkshow, you should even out the sides a little better and not gang up on one person. It just turns into a screaming match with 4 against 1, and guess who loses everytime?

Democrats, especially, can go around bashing McCain and Palin as much as they want and call them names, but the minute a conservative calls Obama a terrorist or says something about him, it turns into a race issue or something. Gimme a break! If thats the case, then I guess they dont like McCain because he is older, we'll turn that into an age issue, and Palin because she is a woman, we'll turn that into a gender issue.

And for all those people that say Palin is un-intelligent and has problems giving speeches, why dont you go give it a try yourself? She has been Governor of Alaska and has taken on many important tasks, while most of you will never even know how it is to run or manager a business. GIve the woman some credit. She has accomplished a lot more than many women I know. And some people just arent as good at giving speeches or firing back in debates, but that doenst mean that they are not qualified for a certain job.

Halloween Costumes

So I'm just curious as to why girls, women, whatever, feel the need to dress-up skanky for Halloween? Isn't part of dressing up for Halloween the fun of being creative and putting together a spectacular, unique costume? Why does everything have to be the skanified version? A slutty Mrs. Claus, a "naughty" police officer, a beer wench.....etc, etc, etc. You KNOW what I'm talking about. I know this isnt a big deal, and it doesnt affect me in any way really, I just dont understand how the fun of dressing up for Halloween turned into a slutiness contest for girls to outshine each other by wearing 'bedroom clothes' for everyone to see. If I want to see your buttcheeks or boobs hanging out of your clothes, I'll let you know. I would like to see a little creativity this year, but I know it will be the same ole' skank school as usual.
